When looking for everything wedding, it seems like there are a hundred and one things you need to think of. As I went prepared for my wedding – I remembered how overwhelming and costly everything was. In an effort to cut down the cost, I began to research different ideas. Now 5 years later, I have found that brides are still looking to cut this cost down so here are a few ideas that I have seen and researched through the years:
1. Personalized Candy Bars or Glee Gum – get bite size chocolate bars or Glee Gum and use address labels to print a message to wrap around the chocolate bars. These are super inexpensive and are actually quite easy to put together. This was something I personally used for our wedding and we personalized it even more by putting an engagement picture on the label. These were cute and allowed our guests to have more than one. With Glee Gum, for those guests that are looking for an all natural option this is a great option over chocolate.
2. Personalized CDs – this can be done with favorite songs of the groom and bride or as one of the couple’s wedding that I was bridesmaid for just did you can record songs played by the bride and groom and put those on the CDs for an even more personal touch. Then for the label you can use put a personal message and even an engagement picture. This is something that can played for a long time and allows others to remember your special m oment for a long time.
3. Organza Bags - purchase small bags from Oriental Trading company or your local craft store and fill them with small white candies. For an even more personal touch, use candies that reflect the wedding colors. Tie the bags with wedding colored ribbons and a personal tag with a message from the bride and groom.
4. Seed Packets - similar to the personalized candy bars, these are great because the plants that are grown will remind your guests of your special day. Print personalized tags to cover the seed packets and make it as personal as you can.
These ideas are just a few of the Do It Yourself Wedding Favors that will save you money and allow you to give a personal thank you to each one of your guests.Tweet
