My children love anything that goes and there isn’t anything more classic that train set. My children were introduced to Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Early Engineers line back in August when we reviewed the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set. My kids loved that first set immensely and still do today. It still brings many hours of fun for both Gabriel and Gracie. I love the chunky engines and the tracks are easy for both of them to play with.

In November, we had a chance to go to Minneapolis as a family. My husband ended up getting sick so instead of going to the Children’s Museum like we had planned we headed to Barnes and Noble where they had a Thomas & Friends Railway Table set up and the kids loved it!

It was free fun but it also reforced in Dylan and I how much fun our kids had with the trains. We have fully decided to continue to pursue this love for them and add to their collection with tracks and more sets. Hopefully one day we can set it all up on a train table.

Soon after we arrived home, we received the Thomas & Friends Railway Early Engineers Busy Day at Sodor and my kids love it.

This wonderful set comes with both Thomas and Henry. There is a holding station for the trains and a turn table for when they decide to come out and get busy.

The trains can fill up with coal and get their engines washed as they head about their day in Sodor. The faces of this little engines are adorable and the entire set is beautifully made.

I love how easy this set is to put together for little hands. My daughter loves taking it apart and putting it back together. My son just loves carrying around the little engines. His little hands easily grasp them and his face just lights up when he see his little friends.

I also loved how it easily attached to the Roundabout Station set making for much more fun for the kids. You can also purchase any of the Thomas & Friends tracks to add these sets and they work perfectly.

This is a toy that will last my children for years to come. As they grow older, we can add more complicated pieces to it and it will be something that engages their minds as well as their bodies.
If you are still looking for a fantastic Christmas gift this holiday season, Learning Curve’s Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway would be a great fit and can begin being introduced to your little ones as early as 18 months old!
