Like many moms who plan to breastfeed, I am doing it so that my daughter can have the best. It is also the most convenient method to feeding your child – no bottles, no water to carry, no mixing, no heating. It’s ready to go at all times. Unfortunately, I’m one of those moms who has a baby that struggles to nurse. In order for her to still get the best, I pump full time.
Pumping is fine when we are at home but when we are on the road or gone for a lot of the day I really struggle to fit in 7 times of pumping. My electric pump is large and not exactly the most portable thing on the market.

My new friend has become the NUK Expressive™ Manual Breast Pump. I have used manual pumps in the past and hated them. They made my hand hurt and the pressure was awfully painful. When asked to review the NUK, I only agreed because I love all other NUK products and trust them to make things that work well for moms. I was not disappointed.
The first thing I love is that the pump sits on top of a NUK bottle and even comes with the nipple for you to use the bottle when you are done pumping. I love NUK bottles and especially love that I can pump right into a bottle without ever having to transfer the milk.
The next I love is how small this pump is. It is easily fits in my diaper bag and can go anywhere with me without others knowing I’m carrying a pump. I would love if NUK would include a small carrying case for the pump but because it did not come with one I just throw it in a Ziploc bag.
Pumping with this pump is incredibly easy. It still can be a little wearying on the hand but it is not as bad as other pumps that I have used. The pressure is also able to be controlled by the switch on top.
While my preference will probably always be an electric pump, I love the manual pump for the days that I am not home and still need to keep up my milk supply. The NUK Expressive™ Manual Breast Pump retails for $39.99 but you can find it on Walmart.com for $29.99. NUK-USA.com also has coupons from time to time that you can use on this pump.
